As a child, art supplies were readily available and creativity was encouraged. And in elementary school thru highschool, I was more concerned with how well my art projects were completed than focusing on the main subjects.
I Studied Fine Arts at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 1977-1980, focus on drawing, painting and etching. I married my husband Doug in the beginning of my fourth year, and he was transfered so left to follow my husband and I start a family.
I continued with drawing and painting and crafts and when we settled in Louisiana I began working as an apprentice in a glass studio.
I worked in 2 separate stained glass studios crafting liturgical glass designs from 1990-2007.
I worked in commercial art production and taught elementary art classes through our Arts Council. I have designed and fabricated my own stained glass and mosaic designs since 1995.
And I currently display my artwork in galleries and gift shops in Louisiana.
